It's a good thing you posted the Zerg tech tree (my second favorite species in SC after the Protoss) but it would have been much better if the PIC was a bit bigger.
I played with this mechanic quite a bit and it definitely adds something to the Protoss that wasn't there before.
Wings of Liberty will focus on the Terrans specifically, while the expansions Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void will focus on the Zerg and Protoss, respectively.

That's a lie ! I've seen Protoss player holding off 1/1/1 using 1 base colossus.
