The online game, which began clandestine operations last summer, makes you a central character: You get phone calls in the middle of the night, clues faxed to your office, and random instant messages.
Some lawmakers also are proposing statutory language that would affirm that the defense secretary has the authority “to carry out a clandestine operation in cyberspace” under certain conditions.
The White House declined to release any additional details about the operation, saying that further information would jeopardize the military’s ability to conduct clandestine operations in the future.
