Students are assigned to live in one of 12 residential colleges during their time at Yale. Each college has a master and dean who live in the college and eat with students in the dining halls.
The residential college system worked better on paper than it did in reality, especially for those of us who were stuck in Morse.
As members of a residential college, students experience the living situation of a small school while still enjoying the cultural and scholarly resources of a large university.
