This paper, taking Meixian Qinchuan cattle breeding Demonstration Base as an example, explores the chief breeding measures of transforming Qinchuan cattle.
Dairy cattle breeding, pig breeding, sheep breeding and poultry breeding are developed in the district.
The model used was the sire model containing herd-year-season(HYS) effect(fixed), sire group effect(fixed)and sire effect(random), which is widely used in dairy cattle breeding.
